Are You In a Porn Rut?

I’ve always considered myself to be a considerate husband and an adequate provider for my family. But, the other night, my wife said something to me that was very hurtful. It made me question whether I was as thoughtful and caring of her as I should be.
I’m a lousy porn provider.
We were downstairs, looking for a little easy sexy time. We decided to start with some porn as foreplay, so I pulled up a subscription website that we usually watch sexy movies on. I went to the list of favourites we have tagged.
My wife looked through the list. “Nothing new”. She laughed and said ‘for all the time you spend down here at night watching porn, I can’t believe you are not finding any new movies we would like’. She was joking — 100% — but it did lead to an interesting conversation.
I like the porn we watch together, and I am a little surprised that I haven’t found more movies that we would both enjoy. What we look for is tough to find these days — high quality, plot-driven, beautiful people, and some group sex. It’s more and more rare in the Porn Hub era… but it’s there.
But when I am alone downstairs and looking for porn, I’ve fallen into a rut. There are a few easy, go-to types of porn I can find easily and I’ve kind of stopped looking further…
